Femme Fatale is an attractive and seductive woman, especially one who will ultimately bring disaster to a man who becomes involved with her. Fourteenth St’s latest spring 2019 collection entrusts self expression through tattoos to explore the connection powerful women have had over society throughout history. Her ability to enchant and hypnotise her victim with a spell was in the earliest stories seen as being supernatural. Hence, the femme fatale today is often still described as having a power akin to an enchantress, seductress, vampire, witch, or demon. When women couldn’t entrust society to grant them rights, they turned to use their feminine wiles such as beauty, charm, or sexual allure to achieve what they wanted.
